Voice Recognition on 720 - Discussion

Well, more information needed. What map do you have installed? To find out, tap the satellite bars. The next screen shows the version number of the firmware. (please let us know what that says, too). Now, tap the version number and the next screen shows the map installed and the version number of it. Please report that, too.

well here's the latest. Thanks for all your help, but future shop just put the 920's on for the same price as the 720, so i sold this one for 400 and went and picked the 920 up.

But hey, thanks for all your help guys, it was greatly appreciated. It's awesome to have guys on here that no their shit!

VR help

Hello,
New to the site, I can't get the VR to work. I installed the recommended dat file to the asr folder, and the vr buttons are grayed out. i have version 8.010 but my north america map is version North_America_2G v705.1481.
Do I need to update my NA map? Any thoughts?

VR will only work with NA map 7.10 or higher. You'll have to update your map. Sorry.

You have to contact TT Support to get a map update or purchase the latest maps through HOME.

Bought new 720 I have the gray VR buttons but still doesn't work using 710 maps and firmware 8.010 Any suggestions?

Do you have the support_asr.dat text file with only the value 1 in it in the asr folder?

I don't have the cspeech files? and I can't go back to the old map do you know where I can get those files?

Do you have the map in the dl folder on your computer? If so, do you see the csspeech files there? If so, just copy them to the map folder on the unit.

To find the information he needs, tap the satellite bars. The next screen is the version number of the firmware installed. NOW, tap the version number and the next screen provides more information, including the map, version number AND build.

Please report back the version number AND build. Thanks.
