I just bought a new TT720 earlier this week and when I checked the version information, it states:
Device AK8SE B2BTJ
App 7.221 (8572/071121) OS:2318
64 MB RAM (free: 23.0 MB)
GPS v1.21, Boot 5.4106
Map: 'North_America_2GB' v710.1584
Language: English US
I
do not have VR capability (there isn't any icons) nor do I have a directory or folder called "ASR" anywhere when I browse the TT720 device under Windows Explorer (show hidden files/folders/OS files are checked, so I should be seeing everything). I've also made a full backup (two copies; one via Windows Explorer and one via TT Home) just in case.
Looking at the file structure of my TT720, I do see a folder labeled "North_America_2GB" and underneath it, there's a sub-folder titled "brand" and 26 other files.
I've downloaded the zip file "NA 710 cspeech files.zip" as well as the "support_asr.zip".
Correct me if I'm wrong but if I want to enable VR on my TT720, do I just delete all the files in my current "North_America_2GB" and replace it with the files that are in the "NA 710 cspeech files.zip" file?
Then, I create a directory called "ASR" and extract the "support_asr.zip" file (which contains a file called "1") into it?
Is that all to it?
Thanks,
David
