6200 will not load, Reset soft, Reset hard or just stay on

Finally opened a new 6200 and loaded to my account There was a lot of updates and after running for a day it seemed to stop at 43% I then needed to change to a different laptop and now it no longer shows on my account It will not load to my account It just goes on off on off Cant use the screen on the 6200 as it freezes within seconds of turning on. It seems to be because its going into close mode I have been asked for logs from Tomtom but not possible Big Help please

On GO 6200 you do not need your computer to do updates.

Start by recharging the battery of your GPS on a smartphone charger for 2 hours then in the settings of your GPS check if updates are still available if yes do them.

I have not use of the unit it goes on then off repeatedly. Turns on and before you can do anything turns off
Can it actually charge with this happening I have left it running in an aim to charge but dosent seem to.
I wish I could turn it off and it would stay off

It won't turn off and stay off If it's on a power supply it will just start and close every 20 odd seconds till the power is removed

I did try a smart charger but that just makes it turn on

If you hold down the power button you should get the power off option.

Yes if I do that it just starts again It won't stay off if it has a power supply

@patrsn Just connect it to the smart charger and leave it to charge whether it is on or off does not matter, but it does need to be fully charged and it needs to be connected to a power source when doing the updates

I did try for a day but the constant loading seemed to use more power than it could load I will try again with the smart charger though thank you

If you plug it into your smartphone charger and then hold the on/off button to turn it off it should not turn back on if the GPS is off the battery will recharge faster.

Normally, if you press the power button for more than 5 seconds, the GPS should turn off if the GPS does not turn off.
I don't know why?

No me neither It can't load because it just closes down Maybe it's turning of from low battery, but it's on a power supply. Anyway its on a power supply for overnight now and I'll see what's happening in the morning

If the GPS turns off by itself it is because the battery is not charged enough.

Now if you still encounter this problem it is because it is new.

In my opinion you should ask for an exchange or a refund of the GPS because it is not normal.

After charging it overnight on mains, what happens?

Maybe changing the battery can help.

Hello it was off and on all night so not sure how much charge it got so tonight I have it in the mode that the 3 presses puts it into and have it on fast charger
Strangely it did seem to do different things today but still are not able to use any unit functions At one stage it showed updates at 44% which is where it was before all went wrong But still continuing to turn itself on off
Support from tomtom is shocking They are extremely slow to respond via email and don't seem to read what you are telling them. The times I was asked to soft / hard reset when I am unable was very frustrating. I was thinking they could elevate if needed

This is just an idea to try.
Press the on/off button until you hear the sound of the tamtam and the device restarts.

Question: do you do the updates via Wi-Fi or with Mydrive connect?
