In the past I hadn't bothered with Safety cameras over here as I do stop for red lights and we do not have them for speed as in the UK.
Following your post above I clicked TomTom Safety Cameras and find that Report safety camera is enabled but neither Update safety cameras or Enable automatic updates.
As this will only allow me to report that there is a camera and not that is is only working in some directions I would have to make a written report anyway, as I did under Map errors.
I just went through the motions to report the one that works EB only.
It did let me specify the exact location and after selecting the type as Traffic light camera not Speed camera, the next screen become a selection of speed limits.
If not canceling out at this time the location will be sent with any of the options, e.g., ( ? ).
Another instance of half baked programming.

When you select report a camera in tomtom service menu, it will ask you if it is on this side of the road or the other side. It is based on the direction you are travelling so. If you want to report on the cross street, you will then need to submit a written report I believe
Took the demo ride and did see the icon. My trip, as it turns out, avoided the intersection I had in mind, so I'll have to try a "real time" on it later. I have the sound set to a fairly rude noise that I won't miss when it actually occurs!Nope. Not for me. Home shows that symbol (top red icon) for my listing as being 'on the memory card (where my map is) '. In Browse Map. Show pois, it isn't there .
Totally different animal, and controlled in a different place. As noted earlier, you'll need to go to TomTom Services, to the Safety Cam area there, and from THERE you can do the configuration of sound, etc. It's not managed in the POI area at all for the version you and I have.I don't even see where I can 'warn when near' the safety cameras. I can with the other built in and custom categories.
TomTom quite clearly noted the intersection by naming the cross roads and did NOT allow for any additional details.
The choices are [Options] [Find] [Back] [Done] and only the latter two pertain to the location.

Our safety cameras are for red light only, not speeding.Oh well, maybe I just won't speed.
... if the light changes to amber, come to a full stop if safe to do so.
Confirmed.Oh I am sorry
That option (this side of the road / the other side) is only shown if you are using the "Report Safety Camera" in the quick menu. If you are using the menu in the TomTom Services, it doesn't show that
You should be banned from this thread. Well, I ask you, your have PLUS services !!!when you go to tomtom services then safety cameras and then change warning preferences and finally all, click not for remove warnings, the number of seconds before camera for warning you and then you select the waring sound
Sorry did not read previous pages of comments on my topic if this does not pertain to you.
I have plus traffic and it goes right through.
I get there byAs I said, when I get to the safety camera icon, nothing happens when I tap it. No choice to set warnings.
