Issue with Mobile Camera Update Stuck at 50%

I had this issue, and today morning I reconnected my machine at work as I usually do. I noticed that the unit began updating itself, indicated by the rotating circle, while only this was visible on the screen at that time (image number one). Shortly after, the unit indicated that the update was successfully completed. However, on the P.C screen, I saw that I no longer had a connection(broken). The TT-client reported that it could not connect to the unit. this mostly happens at many a times, and does not scare me anymore ;)

I then closed the client and performed a hard restart of the device( Drums). After restarting, I observed the update-process again, and this time, it gave me the ''impression'' that the speed cameras had been successfully updated, with only the electrical charge points remaining. I proceeded with that step. (image 2)

Everything went as expected without any issues. Finally, I saw three success screens confirming that everything had been taken care of ( rest of the attached images). Based on my experience, I would say that the issue is now resolved, and I hope it remains that way in the future.
I will also inform TT-support about this, as my call is open with them.

Thanks, everyone, for paying attention to this thread & issue !!

This issue with a 121 KB speed camera persisting as an update despite numerous attempts to install, and device and My Drive Connect confirming install, still persists here….

Nothing has changed since my last post apart from the following message from support..

“We understand that the “Speed Camera Updates Europe” update continues to appear despite multiple installations. Your feedback is valuable, and we have escalated this issue to our technical team for further investigation.

We recognize that other users have reported similar concerns, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. As soon as we have any updates or a resolution, we will notify you.“

As you can see from my image 1, the speed-cams database is 8 MB, but you see 121 KB. Of course, we are in different regions—you are in the UK, and I am in the Netherlands—so either the speed-cams database is different for the UK, or you might have a cache issue.

Usually, I close the TT client and perform a memory cleanup on my machine (I use a free tool called:

and then I try again from scratch. It’s a bit cumbersome, but based on past results, it has proven to be effective.

I’m definitely not saying this will resolve the issue for you.
I really hope that some guru here can find a solution for you or that TT Support UK will rectify it, as they mentioned that they have escalated the issue.

Good luck!

Yesterday I initially had the 8 MB speed camera update which successfully installed, but then this 121 KB one re appeared and persists despite successfully installing.

I have already exhausted PC cache clearing, device hard reset and PC restarts. Plus followed all advice from customer support and the issue remains unchanged as of right now.

I have now found a way that has worked for me

I pressed on the highlighted download title (not the select box) . After a bit of screen flashing it opened up a new window with three more select boxes - one All countries ( can't remember the exact label as it no longer shows on mine) and two for Serbia
Unselecting the All countries and individually selecting one of the Serbia boxes -it ran the update and reduced the download size to 61kb.
Then selecting the other Serbia it then did a further update and the download has now gone.

Hope this works for everyone else

I clicked on the highlighted “speed camera update Europe” which bought up the select boxes you mention. There was an option to view all installed, so I clicked on that and scrolled through, it showed all countries installed but Serbia had a problem listed and an extra red box saying “repair”, clicked repair and my device started updating, then stopped saying “updated ok”, but My Drive Connect still updating… So unplugged device, closed My Drive Connect, then re opened it, re connected device and the issue is gone!
Thanks for your help 👍🏻

Glad it worked for you - eventually in some way
I didnt need to unplug and restart
Maybe tomtom will give the 'no'support portal bods in india the kit we use to test (post tomtom qa team) the downloads before they put them out for us to test for them!
