Clean Air & Low Emission Zones.

You shouldn't tell us but contact TomTom, the company, about it.
Why not? You could feedback TomTom instead off ducking responsibility. Customers are not free labour and TomTom are very slow to update anything and actually help customers. We pay for the equipment and the updates and facilities need to keep up to speed with any modification like ULEZ areas.
Everything about TomTom needs shaking up.

After purchasing GO 6200 all updates are free so you don't pay anything extra.
for ULEZ GO 6200 zones do not have this option.

I still do not see why TomTom can’t add the software. It’s easy to do.

I have the GO 6200 with the lifetime Maps and updates, but I still had to buy a new Superior so I could avoid the ULEZ zones. So much for lifetime updates. I also had the Go Navigation App on my IPhone, even this doesn’t show the Zones, but it apparently does on the Android App.

Tomtom is a business so they have to find a way to sell new GPS to make money.
If the old GPS had all the options that are on the new ones, no one would buy GPS and Tomtom closes.

Thanks. Very Helpful information.

Fair enough on some levels, but who wants to buy a new product all too often? A lot of companies are far too greedy. The sat navs are cheaply made in China and it’s only the software and infrastructure to keep afloat, they are not going broke.

Yes, but if Tomtom no longer sells GPS, Tomtom will be bankrupt and there are employees who do not work for free.

OK. This is the usual side-step by companies who have a forum instead of dealing with stuff themselves. Moderators and customers do all the legwork. A classic business choice. :)

TomTom shut down their official forum last year. We were here ahead of them by some years, and are still here. The company doesn't "have a forum" now.

Well, that's good to hear. Well done. A pity that TomTom simply is not bothered.

For these newer generation devices, here are some instructions:

Show Low Emission Zones on the map

There is a new toggle that enables the user to configure showing Low Emission Zones on the map, by adding a 'Low Emission Zones' item to Menu/Settings/Map & Display/Show on map.

Note that the LEZ are not shown on the map by default.

Please enable the toggle for LEZ to enable the feature:

How to enable Low Emission Zones warnings

Menu > Settings > Sound/Alerts & Sounds > Low Emission Zone warnings
Hi, new to this forum...
I have Go camper Max but there is no toggle option under 'avoid' to plan a route which avoids these zones....there is the toggle to allow me to see them on my map but no to actually avoid them altogether...my unit seems to be all fully up to date...any thoughts/ideas please?

Hi
Normally, if you choose the option "Avoid low emission zones", the zones will be automatically removed from your route.

Main menu, tap Settings.
Select Route planning.
Tap Avoid.
Enable the option Avoid low emission zones.

I don't know if on the 1st generation Go Camper Max the option Avoid low emission zones is available.?

Hi, yes, think that seems to be the issue as that crucial option is not there...all the other items you would expect ie car pool lanes, tunnels, motorways etc but no avoid low emission zones....which is annoying as it is being labelled as one of the 'new' functions against the camper max on their website..along with visual cues...not bothered so much about those, but the low emission avoidance on route would be very beneficial for me...just wondered if there was a work around but i'm starting to think this may V2 go camper max only and guessing I have V1

I have a newish Go Discover 7" which I update to the latest maps every month or so - But there is NO Avoid option for Low Emission / Clean Air Zones.
I live near Bath and Bristol and driving through will give "some" warnings about entering a LEZ, but it never routes me around them.
PS about 50% of the time the warning is wrong - either No warning as you pass the sign or random enter/leaving warnings when I am not at a boundary.
We need this enhancement ASAP.
