First, I hope I'm in the right section of the form; there are so many sublevels that it's hard to see the forest for the trees.

I keep my TomTom(5100) updated every week.
I will travel from Holland to Berlin sometime in July this year.
Now I have heard there are some emission-free zones in Germany where a "green sticker" is needed. This is just hearsay... what I have gathered.
My questions are:
1) Does an updated TomTom give prior notice to the user when entering such a zone?
2) My car is a plug-in hybrid (ICE + Battery). Do I still need to purchase such a sticker and smudge my front car window? Ugh...

Any pointers on what I am looking at here would be appreciated.

Thanks for any pearls of wisdom. :)

GO 5100 doesn't have the option to bypass low emission zones if that's what you want to know.

Vehicles with a green sticker can, however, enter all low-emission zones in Germany. This green eco sticker is the one you should get if you plan to visit German cities with a low emission zone.

Eligibility for the green ecological sticker
The following vehicles are eligible for the green sticker:

Vehicles equipped with an electric motor such as the Tesla Model S.
Vehicles equipped with a gasoline, LPG or hybrid engine meeting the requirements of the EURO 1 emissions standard (January 1, 1993 and more recent).
Passenger transport vehicles (M1) and light utility vehicles (N1) equipped with a diesel engine complying with the EURO 4 emissions standard (January 1, 2006 and more recent).
Trucks (N2 and N3) and buses (M2 and M3) equipped with a diesel engine complying with the EURO 4 emissions standard (October 1, 2006 and newer).
Vehicles equipped with a diesel engine meeting the EURO 3 emissions standard and which are retrofitted with a diesel particulate filter.
Please note that the years mentioned in parentheses are indicative only and depend on the manufacturer. For example, a vehicle equipped with a diesel engine from before 2006 may already meet the EURO 4 requirements, while this may not be the case for other vehicles from 2006 or older. This is often the case with motorhomes.
