Device compatibility

3 days ago I received an email to say my 3 year old Go Camper 520 was no longer compatible and would receive no more map updates and offered me 35% off a £389 Go Exclusive. I was not happy but as I use it a lot prepared to take the offer. However I looked at other models and was surprised to find the GoCamper 520 still on sale at £389 which seemed odd if it couldn't be updated in the future. I decided to wait until I could get to my computer to research this a bit more. Now today I have an email saying sorry big mistake your device is OK we made an error. What's going on ? If I had bought the new Exclusive would I have got my money back. Major foul up somewhere

Yes I saw that. Seems like they sent a lot of useless emails out...a cynic might think it was a marketing dept idea to upsell more units until someone realised it might backfire

Since the first reports of that mailing here were on 550 models without anything newer available, it stands to reason that it would have been a genuine mistake.
