well i upgraded the framework by the link the mod linked, and still no luck

Make sure you're installing Home in a folder called TomTom Home 2. See if that helps.

Finally, the current beta version of Home lets me in to "Operate...". First thing I did was added the password It's kind of unstable, but acceptable for beta. At least they are working on it.
