It looks like you guys have mis-read the review at http://www.gpspassion.com/fr/articles.asp?id=216&page=2
This is a French site and it looks like they are comparing a TT One V2 with what they call a TT One V3 "New Edition" . If you look at the photos, their V3 looks like our LE. So the LE and our 3rd Edition in the USA must have the same GPS chip sets and should have the same performance.
BTW, I bought a 3rd ed and was pissed it didn't have the itinerary and poi management. So I picked up a LE (which I haven't opened) and am trying to figure out if it is better than the 3rd ed. If it is , I'm returning the 3rd.
