tripmaster 2.3- suprise?

When it happens, can you stop Tripmaster and have a look at your /tripmaster/config.txt file and tell me which value has got the autologging parameter.
Happened once again.
I clicked Tripmaster icon to bring it up, log was automatically activated. I then turnt Tripmaster off by clicking on the X in upper corner, not deactivated yet. Got home, check the config.txt.

[ Log files parameters : managed in the 1st setup screen ]

OK, I think I know what's happening.

You've been caught in one of my major problems with the touchscreen. Touchscreen events read by one application are not deleted from the touchscreen event queue and they get caught in the current application. So, when you launch Tripmaster, it gets the touchscreen event that was used to launch it and interprets it as a request for activating the log, whatever are the coordinates of the touch you've made to launch Tripmaster.

Another important information : if you stop Tripmaster without de-activating the log, the log will be re-activated at next launch, this is a normal behaviour.

I'm currently trying to find a solution for the touchscreen problem, but it seems to be difficult to fix that.

I don't think it's a touch screen issue. The Icon to launch tripmaster is lower center. To activate the logs is upper center. Logs were deactivated before closing tripmaster.

No sweat, m8 but somehow I think it should be an easy fix since this bug just surfaces lately, meaning it didn't happen in v2.0 and the major changes in those later versions are just the enhancement such enable backgrounds.
Oh, btw, just popped out in my mind, let me set the backgrounds as defaults and see what happens.

Believe me, I know my own code quite well, ***it's*** a touch screen issue.

@pianoCM : between 2.0 and later versions (v2.1 and v2.2) the touchscreen management has been changed. If I come back to v2.0 behaviour, I will face problems about touchscreen responsiveness...

I will work on this problem in the next days and find a solution that manages both problems.

Just for grins....I was driving over Monarch Pass, Colorado today with the Tripmaster turned, watching altitude readings as I climbed. At the summit the sign read: elevation 11312'....and the Tripmaster read 11332....within 20 feet on this particular day with high pressure and 8+ tracking satellites...I was happy.

Hello,

It seems to me that I have succeeded to fix the bug that auto-activate logs when launching Tripmaster, due to touchscreen issues. Can those who encounter this bug send me a private mail to give their mail address, so that I send them a beta version to test ?

@dhn:

Good idea ;) everything is in place when you are on the download page...
But, be sure that your comments here are also a good compensation for all these efforts.
