Start 50 - can't update to Europe v11.00 full map

Still no luck.

Just want to back up one step to be sure we were successful with the card this time.

I assume formatting the card went as we described?

You will want to completely shut down and reboot your device after the card is formatted.
When you fire up MDC with your device connected, you see both internal (Device) and Memory Card numbers at the top?

Formatting SD card check
Before trying out a different SD card, mine looked like the second screen shot, showing the remaining space.

I took out the SD card and tried to install Europe v11.00 ca. 6.9gb. It then gave me the option list including 'use a memory card in your device'

I then put in a different SD card and reconnected.

This time when I selected Europe v11.00 ca. 6.9gb it started the update process.

I'm downloading direct to the SatNav. I will see later whether it has done what I want or not but it seems to be updating something.

Early indications suggest it is indeed something to do with the other SD card, although formatting and recognition did not seem to be an issue.

I'll update you asap. Many thanks for your support on the 'journey' so far.

It would seem that it was to do with the SD card. It must have been either faulty in some way or incompatible. Although it did format and recognise it, it just could copy data to it for some reason.

I have finally been able to update to Europe v11.00.
