OS Grid Refs in TomToms?

I often get passed OS refs as destinations - any way of programming them into a Go720 please?

Oops sorry! OS is British Ordnance Survey. They produce a range of paper maps in 1:50000 scale for the whole country (UK).

The TomTom devices cannot accept OSGB so you need to convert the coordinated to lat/ long for the device to understand them, bear in mind the limits of the device though, don't expect it to route you to a destination that is miles away from any roads. The TomTom is for on road use, OSGB can be on or off road. There are no third party applications to run on the TomTom to enable coordinate format translation on the device, you will need the PC for this part - Mike
