No Canada Map

I am not sure if my device is the same as the OP's or not, but I would wager that if he doesn't have the 325, he probably has the 330. Anything higher than that has the Canada maps.

At any rate, I think I am going to take mine back and exchange it for a 340S. The 340S comes with IQRoutes, Canada and Mexico maps, as well as spoken street names -- all for only $20 more than the 325. I wish I would have researched it better before I made my impulse buy!

And I have a question: What is the difference in the various USA maps that come with various models of TomTom's? Are some of the maps more "detailed" than others? I am confused on this.

The 330 comes with US and Canada.

The differences in maps for the same country are usually reflected in the size of poi file included (the 340 has about 7 million points, I think) and detail of the maps, not so much in roads included but in the visual appearance of things like rivers and other terrain. The roads may appear straighter in maps with less detail than those with more detail showing curves in the road (more segments).

The 930 with its non condensed NA map will have more detail in the map than that of the 730 or other series.

The Serials numbers will be the same for the XL 330 and XL 325.

Just like the One 130 last year, the One 125 came only with the US map. TomTom did the same with the XL 330.
