No - this device will poke around looking for new files to back up, but unlike your hard drive, your TomTom won't always be connected for it to find. Further, I've had less than stellar success with both WD and Seagate's 3rd party backup software. I've taken to doing manual backups to my NAS device rather than trust what came with it. One of the absolute worst I've run across is the Memeo software that comes with Seagate and D-Link NAS devices that "loses" your backup plan/folder on the device such that you must erase what's there and start over.I have an external WD backup hard drive running all the time. Would that not do the same as backing it up on my PC hard drive ?
It's this one
WD SmartWare
You may also find that the file types that the backup software does not recognize (which will be the majority of the files on your TomTom) will not be backed up unless you create a specific backup "plan" for them.
Avoid the grief -- Back up your TomTom to your PC using the instructions in that link so that you know ALL of your TomTom files are being backed up. If your NAS backup software happens to pick up a copy of all of it and store it for you, so much the better -- but don't depend upon it.
