Issues/problems with install of map 935

Yes, it's weird. We think it's actually TomTom's server, not Home. Just ignore it and hope they get around to fixing it!

can someone help please . since installing map 935 I haven't received one mapshare update ?? is there a problem tom toms end and has anybody else received them ?? regards mark

My understanding is that there are some issues with mapshare files and the 935 map. You may wish to call Cust Suppt to clarify:

I'm getting mapshare updates in the US. Just received one yesterday. I've not experienced any problems.

thank you tom , but im yet to here from someone in the uk who is actually getting updates etc after all if we pay a yearly fee for map updates then im sure we should of had some kind of e mail from tom tom after all there was no glitch taking the money !!!! strange that

Map updates are not the same as mapshare files. Map updates come 4 times a year. Mapshare files, when they are available, are usually daily or pretty close to that. You do not pay for mapshare updates. You do for map updates, unless you have lifetime maps with your device.

Mapshares are supposed corrections to existing maps such as proper 1 way streets, correct locations of pois, speed limits corrected for a street, stuff like that. New maps show the physical addition of streets to a map.

Anyone know why 935 is quite a bit larger than 930 or 940 in map size? This is for the ONE New Edition. 930 is listed as 971mb, 935 at 1.38gb and the latest 940 is 980mb in size.

Strange. I thought the 940 was larger than the 935 map.
