Home v2.1 is out.........

Just installed Home version 2.1. Seems to work. Anyone else?

I had installed it from a link, did not like it. I felt I had more control of installing applications, etc., through 1.5, so I un-installed 2.1. I had tried to run them seperately, but possibly Vista does not allow that - even though I had installed them in different folders and opened them from within the folders .

I am going to stay with 1.5 until th forum indicates persuasive reasons to install it again.

I downloaded it last night and was not able to download the file that allows interface with the TT. Said it was unavailable. Did not like the appearance or the presentation of file information. Uninstalled it and reloaded 1.5. All is fine with that.

Has anybody though about downloading Susan or Dave for the guy who lost his computer voices? I could us them also.

Interesting GAW. I have both 1.5 and v2 of HOME installed on my Vista.

I uninstalled and reinstalled - same result. I did a week-ago Vista restore, and got a clean version of 1.5 working fine again. But when I installed 2.1 again (and selected the un-recommended option of maintaining 1.5) - same result - it only ran 2.1, so went back to only 1.5 again.

Now, the new 7.1x version (can't read the file name right now - doing a backup) has been downloaded but not installed. What are the benefits of this with a GO 910 (any?), and will it disable Tripmaster and other apps ?

Everything is working pretty good right now (except for it sending me down un-improved fire access roads in place of paved roads occasionally on even the "quickest route" setting), so I am resisting the have-to-have-the latest urge for now.

I have Windows and tried to have both Home 1.5 and 2.0 installed. 2.0 over rode the 1.5. When I tried to ope 1.5 the 2.0 opened.

If I remember correctly, when you install HOME 2 there is an option to keep HOME 1.5. I did it once and have both programs up and running smoothly.

General newby question - does Home automatically connect to the tomTom home website during install? If so, this must be the problem that I am having with installation - cannot get their site to ping...

It's running fine on my Vista Ultimate on my desktop computer at home. There was an update to HOME 2.1, I forget the release number but do you know if you have the latest version of HOME? I THINK it was 2.1.21 or something like that.

I have 2.1.2.121 running on Vista home premium. No problems here, but it upgraded from a 2.0 - I never had a 1.x version.

Have tried click on 'Start' then 'Programs'
Locate the TomTom folder and the HOME icon.
Right click the HOME icon and select 'run as administrator'

I've just downloaded the new version but now every time I connect up my 720 to my computer it wants to download it again. What might I be doing wrong???

How did you download them, Digital? I would like to have both 1.5 and 2.0.
When I tried to have both, 2.0 over rode the 1.5.

Well when I downloaded it, it was the time I updated to NavCore 7 as an option came up asking me if I wanted to update.

However, I think it should still work even if you download the executable file from TomTom's site.

During the installation of HOME 2.0 there was an option to keep 1.5 which is what I choose. You may want to uninstall 2.0. Then try installing 1.5, and right after install HOME 2.1 (that's the latest version of HOME).

See if that works for you.
