Go 920
Hi, I have an old Go 920 which I'd like to be able to use on a holiday to the 'states in a week or so. Appreciate I can use my phone but I'd like to have the Tomtom available if possible.

At first switch on when installed in my car it seems to power up OK and works normally.

If I stop the car and power off the device, it doesn't start up again when I resume a journey. The screen is grey and shows the location when the device was switched off. When looking at the page which shows which satellites are being received (?) they are also grey rather than blue.

In car, the device is powered from the in car charger as the battery doesn't hold a charge for long. Could this be an issue?
It is located on a suction mount on the windscreen. Have tried resetting but no difference. Have also tried holding device out the window in case satellite visibility is an issue, but still doesn't start up.

Any help/suggestions appreciated. First post on this Forum so apologies if not in correct place.

Yes. Could very well be a battery issue. Try charging it for two hours using a mains.

But that begs the question as to just how old the map is in the device?
