error message when trying to update...help please

If you connect to Home and go to Manage my Device, Items on Device, maps, does it show anything?

If you go to Items on Computer, maps, does it show anything?

Did you make the Explorer backup?

made the backup us canada maps in both places
when I run a scan on GPS now it is missing tons of stuff

IF you have the Explorer backup, then format the unit, don't use quickformat.

Connect to Home and install the application offered. DO NOT disconnect until you've used the Device Disconnect icon.

Connect to Home. Manage Device, Items on Computer, maps. Select the map to install on the device.

I had to do it a few times but applications installed finally.... how do I get the maps or anything else I need from my back up to gps

can I just go to the US Canada Mexico folder and send it to the GPS??? not sure

If your maps are still in your backup, then install them from your backup using Home ("Manage my device" / "Install items from computer"). If there is any problem with that, they can also be installed manually if necessary.

Apart from broken hardware, or users that don't have backups of their maps on their PC when things go south, we can get pretty much everyone up and running again. Glad you didn't bin yours and that it's running again.
