Does XXL TM have TTS?

Use WinRar to extract the contents of the cab file into the LoquendoTTS folder on your unit.

Make an Explorer backup of your unit's contents first .... just in case.

Yes, removing any voices you don't need will free up space. Use Home to remove unwanted voices.

Also, to gain a bit of space, you can delete any file in the license folder without EN_US in the file name.

If you want, in the art/cars folder, you can delete any .bmps for autos you wouldn't use. Saves a bit of space.

I have one of the AT&T Labs Natural Voices? Text-to-Speech voices. Can these be installed in this TomTom, or any TomTom? the .DAT file itself is 25 megs, and the entire cab files on the voices install disc is 700 megs.

Where are people getting their TTS voices from? Are there any that sound like the Mike or Rich voices on this page which are compatible with a TomTom? AT&T Labs Natural Voices Text-to-Speech Demo. I would really love to have a TTS GPS unit that can have the Mike voice. The first one I find gets my money.

People get their computer voices directly from TomTom using the Home software.

I doubt very much any other kind of speech file would work with TomTom applications.
