Megane 3 Carminat
Hi all,

I recently bought a 2012 Megane 3 with Carminat. I read about updating the sat nav so thought I would do that before buying some new maps. I did the propper "remove card" in the car and removed it... plugged it into an SD reader on my PC and there were updates - Excelent - did a backup (old school I.T. worker) and then updated it. Put the card in the dash unit and now I am getting "No maps found". So I restored from the backup - "No maps found". I did try a card from Amazon thinking it might be a corupted card but that's exactly the same - "no maps found". Strangly at no time did the card reader on the PC have any issues.

Now I can kinda understand that the maps on the one from Amazon might not work (I figured I can send it back if not) but cannot understand why the origonal is not working. Anyone got any ideas how I can get this thing back to life or it's just a big blank screen staring at me. I am starting to think it might even be the card reader died when I removed the old card ... but that's kind of a long shot.

Edit - So little update as I am activly searching everywhere :). I read something about putting an empty SD card in and the Tomtom will write some firmware information (I think) . I did this and there is now a folder called "loopdir". So - that is making me think the card reader and hardware is fine and it's just config/date I am fighting with.

Hi

Hi

If this is a map you purchased via TomTom Home, it means the map isn't readable.
To fix this, download your map again.

If the SD card is faulty
You said you made a full backup of the original SD card. Buy a new blank SD card, then copy and paste the original SD card onto the new SD card.
