Cannot add TomTom GO 510 to MyDrive

...but also my devise tells me I don’t need a connection for speed camera and new maps apparently they upload themselves? (Who would have thought)
Since it includes neither cellular nor WiFi connectivity, the only means for a 410 to obtain speed camera updates over a non-wired connection is through the MyDrive phone app using the Bluetooth interface of the 410. So that's certainly 'a connection' over Bluetooth.

However, I've never heard of obtaining a map update that way.

Would be interested on a report of what the device is displaying that suggests cam and map updates do not require 'a connection'.

Have you tried another USB port on your computer? Does your port work for other purposes (e.g. connecting your smartphone)?
It's a USB port directly on the computer, right, so not on a USB hub?

Tomtom Home or Mydrive connect?
What would be nice is to know the first two letters of the GPS serial number.

Yes, does the unit start with a Q (Nav4) or a V (Nav2) ?
