Thanks for clarifying 1 & 2.
For 3 - it's the same account used throughout the tomtom ecosystem (mydrive.tomtom.com, plan.tomtom.com) as well as on my mobile phone app. Same credentials I use on the device, and they work. My problem is only that for some reason the password is not saved, so I need to always introduce it, otherwise it's not synced with the mobile app.
 
Since the latest version of plan.tomtom.com, formerly Mydrive, you have to re-enter your email address and password each time.

You only stay connected with your credentials on the Mydrive application on your phone.
