it can't even find this addres:
Nieuwe Weg
2381 NE Zoeterwoude
Nederland
---------------------------
neither can it find : 52.118740, 4.508890 (these are the Lat./Long. of this place).

These are Valid addresses !

I have experienced this with other addresses too, for example : Rijksweg 69, 1411 GE Naarden.
*This is a renowned clinic in the NL

This is turning into a potential nightmare (TT's churning out new stuff)
This (afaik) was never the case with the 'older version' , it was robust , fine and to the Mark

Am I missing something here wholly?

I just tested my home coordinates and couldn't find them either.
There is currently a bug with the scheduler so try again later.

Hi,

Thanks. Firstly,!

trying 'later' may not be the issue here.

This has always been like this.

My trials at the clinic mentioned above were in early March this year, and it was not found then either.

But I let it go, and life moved on.

Today, bang, once again... and we are 2 months down the line.

There is something 'structurally' wrong here.

Google shows a zone for 2381 NE at the intersection of Nieuwe Weg and Weipoortseweg
Google shows 52.118740, 4.508890 on Nieuwe Weg approximatelt 1 km west of that intersection.

Sunday the planner still worked, only today to test that it no longer works.
That's all I can say anymore.

Thanks, but what does that tell me? Are you rooting for TomTom or against it? what Google shows that my TomTom does not do anything, it does not even bring me to the close proximity. In fact, it asks me to check my spellings and stuff like that ( user-is-an-idiot feeling !). :D

Any proper organizer should be able to tell me that there could be a zone here...something that I don't understand because it's just a farmhouse, the first one, and the second one is a clinic. So it should at least drop me off within maybe 200 or 250 meters and say, "This is the best I can take you to." So I am not convinced with what TomTom is doing right now. I've also mentioned in the feedback [TT route planner]because they're very prompt in presenting the pop-up asking the user, "How do you like our new site?"

Personally speaking, I'm not very amused. I searched the clinic on Google Maps and it was just bang on & with a 3D picture of the building itself ! . So this is not proper, to say the least.

Here's what I got when I used your coordinates this morning:

Adress in question( the 1st one , - topic starter) :
Nieuwe Weg
2381 NE Zoeterwoude
Nederland

....btw I can do this with the 2nd addy too, (I haven't), bet it will be the same regarding results.

* Also, that generic message: "Check your spellings and postcode," shows scant regard for the effort the developer has put into validating the user's input. A context-relevant message was required, understanding that coordinates do not have spellings but...

When the entire site starts working properly again, I think if the OP would put in the whole address correctly, there would be no problem.
Try

Nieuwe Weg 4A, 2381 NW Zoeterwoude, Nederland

That takes you right to the same building as his coordinates.

When I use the address supplied in post #1 (Nieuwe Weg, 2381 NE Zoeterwoude, Nederland) instead of coordinates, I get this. What is interesting is that the "NW" appears to be locating us very close to the coordinate data supplied, so I suspect that the OP's original address should have read "NW" and not "NE", which could be at the heart of the problem.

and after selecting that first entry at the top of the list, I get this, which should be no surprise. The address supplied by the OP is specific only to the road Nieuweweg (does NOT include the "4A"), so it can't be expected to select the location on that little side road off Nieuweweg that the coordinates send you to per my earlier post. Not having any issues with that address here at all. Haven't tried the other one yet.

Hi ,

So it looks like all's well that ends well ! .. until (maybe) if I bump into more addresses in due course that may not show up?.
But for the time being, these two elusive ones are 'online'.
Thanks Guyz!! (One & All !) .......this was One True Help indeed.

I have found Google always to be more accurate than TomTom.
(Map errors with geolocation photographic evidence was usually acknowledged same or next day and a few days later they informed that the map had been changed, and it was alredy.)

I only tried to see what Google maps did with the address and location given by you in your initial post.
Based on @canderson 's testing, TomTom's
asks me to check my spellings and stuff like that
was not out of line.

No, you are not missing anything.

When planning using the old TomTom website planner, I always got accurate locations of places I wanted using latitude and longitude from Google Maps, then entered these co-ordinates into the TomTom planner, either as Places or as part of a Route or Track.

The new planner recognises the co-ordinates, but then tries to assign a known location, or address or hotel or restaurant to those co-ordinates, and if there is no known place, just sits there doing nothing.

The new planner is not half as good as the old planner that I successfully used to plan hundreds of routes over the last decade.
