Ok shelled out good money and have tried all that I know. I could use a little help in figuring out the coordinates usage. I am a gold miner and have a particular location I would like to trek to, I have the coordinates they are 41 degrees 14 minutes and 58 seconds North and 114 degrees 00 minutes and 54 seconds West. I ahve tried all possible entries into the iphone app and it gives me an invalid location. I need help. Thanks
You can write it in many ways. One way is to write N41d14'48" in the first screen and W114d0'54" in the next screen. I do this often and it's working 100%!
I just tried your fix and it says the same thing that I have an invalid location. Is there something I am missing? I am using an iphone 4 with the tom tom app. Using google coordinates. thanks for the try and any more help is really appreciated.
Is there an actual road near to your coordinates, if there is no road the device won't be able to work out a route leading to the error message - Gold mining doesn't sound like its adjacent to the public highway to me, get the coordinates for the end of the road where you park up/ leave the highway and go off-road - Mike
@carver2:
What Mike say is correct. You can only navigate to coordinates that are on, or close to, a road. But if you go to Map View and search for your coordinates, you will get the place on the map. But you can't navigate to it.
