Turning on Computer always shows download waiting

I have the TomTom Via 1535TM useing My TomTom. Besides the various problems, lately when I turn on my compter the little TomTom icon on my taskbar with the two red hands now is replaced with an icon stating I have 1 download.
When I plug the GPS into the computer to supposedly download this update, the screen indicates my unit is totally up to date. The download icon is then replaced with the two red hands icon and everything is back to normal until I turn the computer on again.
What do you make of that?

Do you have the latest application (12.035)? That one offers mapshare downloads to your device.

But dhn.... , the Mapshare downloads should be a visible download that you can manually select and use the "download" button to obtain.

Looks like our known issue HAS gone global....
