Just wondering why I cannot stay on the 407 highway in Ontario, even when I choose "take a toll road".... My GPS continually takes me off the toll road to the very much congested 401..The maps are updated to the new extension of the 407 but still the same problem occurs.???? Any idea of how to bypass this feature...???

On your device, you might be able to select an alternate route-->travel via and then in the map view, scroll till you see the 407 and tap on it.

Or just ignore the suggested (401) routing and, instead, take the 407. Over time, the device might 'learn' your preference and use it instead.

When I'm going westbound from Bayview, it often chooses the 407 to the 400 and then down to the 401. I just ignore the routing and continue on the 407. Within seconds, it recalculates and keeps me on the 407.

I am at Brock Rd and 401. Going to Woodward and QEW in Hamilton will take 1:19 via the 407 and 1:31 via the 401.
For saving 12 minutes I must pay $26.40 at this time of the day!
(That cheap because of having an annual transponder rental.)
