POI Conversion Tool

I have downloaded POIConverter 3.21. I have tried to use it with Microsoft Streets and Trips 2008. It does not appear to convert the files correctly. The names for waypoints do not resemble anything in the Microsoft file. I then used the POIEdit 2007 to change the waypoint names and they showed up with a line through them. Next when I tried to navigate I couldn't get past the starting destination. Any help in using these tools would be appreciated. Yes, I have tried to use Tyre but it has it's own set of problems.
