Issues with creating a POI alert icon

I am currently trying to make a POI alert icon for red light cameras and am running into an issue.
When on the browse map view as well as when I am driving the icon shows it's colors correctly.
But when the alert comes up that I am approaching the POI and the icon starts flashing in the upper left hand corner the colors are wrong - the red shows as white. Can anyone please shed some light on how I can fix this?

i think tomtom don't recognize a particular red color, hence custom car icons using red.
I just made the red darker using paint. see if it helps.
