Since the VIA1535TM doesn't provide access to the file system does anyone know how to add .ov2 files for camera alerts? Thx.

I obtained a sample .csv file containing the gps coordinates of red light cameras. I converted the .csv file to an .ov2 file and with a bit of experimentation I was able to get the alert to work on an XL340.S.

I use GSAK for that kind of conversion. Which software did you use?

The csv sample file came from the POI Factory. I used the GPS Data Team online conversion tool. I was only able to convert the red light csv sample file to ov2. The csv speed camera sample file was too large for the conversion tool. Not sure how secure the site is. It was a one shot thing. Scanned the csv and ov2 files for malware. It's only been one day but so far no issues.

You set up the POI on the gps then replace the ov2 file created by the gps in the map folder. I checked lat. / long. coordinates plugged them into the gps. Set up an a to b route near a camera. Ran a demo of the route and received a visual and audible alert. It took a bit of doing but it works.

Conversion of the TT ov2 file to csv results in nothing. Apparently TT ov2 files are encrypted. I'm guessing the ov2 file type is proprietary.

Is there a reliable place to get red light and speed camera files?

At first glance GSAK looks pretty complicated. Is there a guide on how to convert csv files to ov2 or a site that offers the red light / speed camera database in ov2 file format?

Thanks.

There aren't much in the way of tutorials or guides for GSAK. Although created for a particular purpose, it also serves as a fairly handy general purpose tool for a lot of things that I do -- but it can have a steep learning curve.
