Looks like google is copying the mapshare process of crowdsourcing updates and even driving directions.

Wonder if there is a reciprocal transfer of info with Teleatlas - will we be getting these updates into the tomtom maps?

I don't think so, tho I could be wrong. Many of the areas they're mapping aren't even available from TeleAtlas. Other areas that TA does offer, Google is choosing not to use, instead developing their own maps. I'd watch for some TA news later this year, but perhaps not what you expect
