i have a new pc running win 10. Problem is when I connect my trusty xxl Windows does not appear to see it in explorer so I can't update my cameras etc.

however it is seen in "devices" which is not much help. When I connect the device I hear the bong sound. I have tried all 6 sub ports and 3 cables.

Can someone please help me

Thanks

But are you using the cable that came with the device? Don't use a port connected to a usb hub but use a non usb 3 port on the back of the computer.

Yes have attached to usb at he back. Not sure which lead came with the unit but on my old PC running win 7 I could use any old usb cable.

What's so special about their cable?

OK now have the TT recognised by assigning a letter to it so its seen in explorer BUT.......its not seen by TT Home.

The TT is seen as a drive in device manager in the disk drives section but not in the network adapters section.

Any ideas please??

It should be seen as a drive in device manager as you have observed. Only later models appear as network adapters.

When you manually inspect the new 'drive' with Explorer, do you see a normal looking collection of files and folders on your unit?
