XL 325 SE problem

Hello, like a influx of people I just bought the 325SE from walmart and I'm having a problem with the address finding. For example I know my work address and it's in the middle of downtown Cincinnati but yet the gps doesn't locate it, it attempts to put me half way across the city. Also with my apt when I put my address in it for some reason leads me to the main building not mine. I already did all the updates that where avilable but the $35 one. Is there something that I could do to correct it?

mine works,it brought me to my home,just had to figure out why it wasnt talking.I found out how,it works great.

It could be a map error in your area, or could be some finnickyness with the address. If you post the problem address (or one near it if you don't want to publicly disclose) we can see what's going on.

315 Main St. Cincinnati OH 45202. Is the location that the GPS is putting on the other side of town.

To add on top of this I drove to the address and used the "My Location" to mark it as a fav and when i tried to nav to it today and when I was about 2 blocks from the location, the gps put my icon in the river lol.

I bought my 325-SE at Walmart (Alexandria, KY). I paid to upgrade my map already. My unit displays 315 Main St correctly. It shows the address downtown between 3rd and 4th streets on the west side of the street. Many Cincinnati suburbs have a Main St. I haven't driven downtown yet with it. Tall buildings interfere with satellite reception. How many satellites did you have aquired when it put you in the Ohio River?

The 30 day map guarantee is a sales GOTCHA! What good is 30 days when the maps are updated quarterly? I did not qualify for a free update, however I had to pay $8.95 to get the latest map before I could purchase a yearly subscription. You're forced into a subscription else an adhoc update costs more than the unit is worth. Subscription cost is going to greatly influent my next GPS purchase decision along with traffic services.

The TomTom Home 2.7 software does not work with my Win 7 64-bit computer.

I ordered a RDS-TMC traffic receiver. I hope it works well in the Cincinnati area.

The 30 day map guarantee allows you to get the latest map within 30 days of purchase for free. What map was your device loaded with and when did you buy it? I don't think you needed to pay the $8.95.

It's a pretty safe bet your 325 did not have the latest map, no matter what TomTom Home reports. MVL is correct. You should not have to pay for the latest map.

Yea I called TomTom and they have helped me get the latest map, for some reason it wasn't letting me upgrade to 840 so I had to delete 835 and stuff but now it found the downtown cincy address but some of the country address are reversed on state hwy 133, I'm just going to put it in the map error section of the TomTom and move on.

The TomTom Home 2.7 software does not work with my Win 7 64-bit computer.

Works fine with Win 7 64 here.
