Oh i am happy with the coverage i have with the supplied map, but lets be honest it does not cover the "world"

True. Not many roads in the middle of the Atlantic. They do cover the Canaries and Azores, though.

Can someone please confirm/verify whether World Maps means I can download any maps that exist in TomTom's FULL database as long as they fit into the device's memory space? Or does it depend what country the device is marketed in? Thanks

I have seen two feedbacks to the contrary. One in Amazon UK says they could not load Australia map. One in ProductReview says not Japan map. I have sent a query to TomTom Support but they are so slow to respond. Cheers

Thanks for your reply Willy, sorry to push on with a follow-up question.

- The list you show doesn't have Japan, so that's good it gels with the feedback that person couldn't load Japan.

- When you said "can only see the available maps listed by Tomtom", does Tomtom always give this full list to all World-map devices? Or is it possible Tomtom only lists (for me to see/access) a subset of the full list depending on the serial/origin of the device where I buy from?

Btw my profile says Go Discover 6 but I haven't bought one yet to test it out myself.

If you buy a GPS with world maps, you have the right to download all the countries mentioned in the list provided there is space to download the maps.
