World Maps TomTom go Superior 7

Just purchased a new Go superior 7 SatNav as I want to use in the USA and it says it has World Maps.

It came loaded with Europe maps but I cannot see anywhere how to download World Maps, the manual does not help in any way! . I have tried to contact TomTom who took days to answer my email then told me to go to their BOT to ask the question but it is impossible to get any help. There are no phone number that work in speaking with TomTom direct. So this new devise is useless to me without World maps.

Can anybody help as Ian so frustrated!

Go superior 7 has the world map

To add a map of another country, simply go to
Main menu > settings > map and display > downloaded maps > in the right corner you will see the option > Add

The Tomtom must not be connected to the computer via the USB cable, otherwise the "Add" option will not be highlighted.

Hoorah! my problem is solved , thank you so much! but why oh why does it not state anywhere in the instructions to detach the device from the computer when installing new maps!
