Windows 98 - TomTom Home Installation

I have attempted to install TomTom Home on a friend's windows 98 computer but was not successful ; would anyone know if this is possible ? TomTom Home refers to windows XP or Vista only . Thank you .

According to this link, even Home version 1 requires Windows Xp, Vista or 2000.

Thanks for your quick response , I was afraid of this ; the problem for him is that he is entitled to a free map within 30 days of registering and to my knowledge it can only be obtained through TomTom Home or is there another solution ? Thanks .

The only thing I can think of off hand (other than his contacting Support) is to use Home on your machine to log into his account on TomTom's site with his unit connected and dl it that way.
