In most places around the world, TomTom's Live traffic is about as good as it gets. Up in your area of Coquitlam (how's my memory there?), the traffic is quite good.
You can directly compare using maps.google.com with traffic turned on while simultaneously looking at plan.tomtom.com for the same area. I find that Google tends to be a bit more optimistic about traffic speeds, and of course, TomTom adds projected delay times right on the map.
