With all the talk of map updates and not being able to receive, what is the current map update number that is suppose to be available for download. I have 710.1576 NA currently installed, but it says update available. It seems to me from what I have read is that I already have the updated maps. Thanks, Just4fn

I believe the version for the smaller NA map (from the 720) is 1584 and the version for the larger NA map (from the 920) is 1609.

I have the 920 and Map Version 710.1576. TT told me I had the latest version.
...and the plot thickens...

Does anybody have a tt920 with a current map greater that 710.1576? If so, what is your version?

Sometime back, TomTom sent me by mistake the 920 map instead of the 720 map. Here's what the NA.pna file shows:

ID=North_America.pna
xxxxxxxx
710
build=1609
id=xxxx

The 920 NA map is 710.1576 pre-installed, no map updates via HOME have been released.
The 720 map update is 710.1609 via HOME.

Pre-installed 920 NA map is build 1576, online map for sale is 1609.

For W&C Europe they are 1576 and 1561 respectively. I also heard of a 1632 build for WCE. Latest WCE map is 715.1703

The on-line version is the "big map" complete with cspeech files and supposedly more off map details (lakes,etc).

Pre-installed maps were made so that they would fit the 4gb limit and still have all the relevant road network info.

You are confirming what I said, infama; namely; the 1609 is NOT a 720 map, whether by tthome download or purchase. I just didn't want to incur the wrath of a moderator by correcting him in public! :eek:

No problem. The 710.1609 map is a updated map that can be purchased for the 920 or updated for the 720. The 920 wasn't offered the 1609 build for a latest map guarantee because they were considered to be the same map from the pre-installed map. The 1609 map and 1576 both are full North America maps that are not compressed because they both contain the cspeech files.
The 920's European map are missing the cspeech files so they can fit the 920's internal memory.

Don't kow where you are. If Europe, there IS a 7.15 European map available. If in NA, there is supposed to be a 7.15 map available 'any day now'. Maybe 'any day now' is now and you are eligible for it.
