what is IQ routing??

The name IQ routing is displayed on my start up splash screen .. but I don't know what it is or what it does.. I don't really see it in my menu prompts .. Could you direct me to a page that explains what this is, what it does and how does it apply for the 620 TT ??

TomTom collects data from their customers about speeds on various road segments during their trips. If you've volunteered to send data through TomTom Home, you'll be helping out. The data is held in encrypted form (something Apple should have learned) and is sent anonymously during Home connects.

TomTom takes all of this input and establishes average speeds for many roads in what we believe to be 15 minute time slots by day of week. Using that data, your TomTom does a MUCH better job of predicting your ETA using average speed data for the time of day and day of week that you're actually traveling instead of some fixed set of speed numbers.

Knowing what your ETA would be for various routes gives your TomTom the ability to be a lot smarter about picking the fastest route for you.
