What gives?

Just tried to update my T720 and Home wants to install more than 100mb of voices, including, I assume, the computer French and Spanish female voices which my device would not have enough room to hold. In addition, a new firmware is offered 7.49 something, and I am certainly not ready to bite on that one yet.

What gives, and is this a software glitch? I don't see much discussion about this on these forums, so I assume I must have "missed the boat" on these new updates.

Ignore the offer for the voices and do NOT accept firmware 7.481 if you have 7.221 installed. Just remember to uncheck the choices in future update sessions, too.

Since when did you expect TTHome software to make sense?

Sorry, it was not a firmware update which was offered, it was a new version of home: 2.3.1.92. Yea or nay?

I think I already have 7.481 with voice activation working properly, but I do not see any option to uncheck the voices for future updates. How do you do that?

Yeah, home update is probably ok. When you select 'update my go', after searching for a while, it'll probably list some voices to download along with quickfix updates and, in theory, mapshare updates (I haven't been offered any for a week or so).

Just uncheck the various voices listed and keep the checkmark for the other items. I continually get offered various voices that I don't want (no room for them anyway on my unit) so I unckeck them.
