Way points in MyDrive and Planner

Hi All,
I have contacted TT about this and have yet to receive a response, although looking at the ticket raised, it shows as closed!

I have been using MyDrive for years in conjunction with MyRouteApp for planning fairly long Euro trips, which by their nature, often have a lot of way points. I have never had a problem (until recently) exporting gpx files from MRA and importing them into MyDrive, along with all the waypoints.

Of late, any route which has in excess of 30 waypoints will not calculate in MyDrive, with a message saying “Cannot calculate route, try removing the last waypoint” etc. After trying many different routes, including an old one that I had previously imported without a problem, it would appear that the issue is with the TT software. If I randomly delete waypoints on any route, as soon as it gets down to 29 points the route will calculate!

TT suggested using their new Planner software - guess what? Same problem!

Anybody else got this issue? I may have to resort to Garmin if this is not sorted before the next tour!
 
Hmm! Basically turn one route into three separate routes? Yes, that would work, but I would like to know if others have found this issue that wasn’t there before?
 
Haven’t tried that, but will do just out of interest. It would be very hard to do on some of our tours as the TT map doesn’t show a lot of the details on Google maps that may influence our route.
 
I just tested with Mydrive, and I have the same problem.
For me, I can only add 28 points, the 29 is my arrival point.
 
Yes, it's a real pain, and it never used to happen. The same happens in the later TT Planner software, so they've done something to the software that strangles the waypoints. At the moment TT are being less tan helpful regarding an issue that they have!
 
Interesting - I just tried adding a few more points to á route in MyDrive, and as soon as it reached 29 points it states the route cannot be calculated. There is a serious problem with this TT software which was not there before!
 
Now had it confirmed by TT - it’s an intentional feature now; max 29 waypoints - really! What a complete nonsense. What are they thinking ? I think I will be transferring my tours (in one route days, rather than having to split them) to a Garmin device in future.
It was also very frustrating trying to get through to Customer Services. Easy to see why TT have such an awful reputation and reviews when it comes to Customer Services.
