Volume & Brightness?

Just bought my "Start" and would like to know, is there any way to adjust the volume and brightness?

When in driving view, tap the lower left of the status bar. I think the volume slider appears then.

Looks good and you've done a great job, but what was the reason for disgarding the stock mount...any particular reason?
