Voice Recognition

Today I got my new TOMTOMGO 930. The only problem I have is the voice recognition doesn't seem to work.

Both options to use voice recognition are greyed out.

So I updated my Tomtom to the latest version:

App: 8.301
Map: 'Western_and_Central_Europe' v800.1765

Now I don't even see any text recognition icons anymore.

So I downloaded the voice recognition files for Europe from here:

https://www.tomtomforums.com/tomtom-go-920-920t/9430-voice-recog-only-available-one-set-maps.html

I downloaded "asr_europe_800.1727.zip" (Didn't seem to find v800.1765) and extracted "cspeech_BEL.dat" to "I:\Western_and_Central_Europe" to test it just in Belgium.

Can anyone help me to get voice recognition working on my GO930. Before I did anything I also made a copy from the whole system using explorer.

Another thing I would like to install is a tripmaster, can anyone point me in the right direction to get it to work on the current version I have?

Many Thanks.

Seems like I forgot to do this:

1. Right click on the link: http://tomtom.com/lib/img/cs/S4S/files/support_asr*.dat and select Save Target As... Download this file to the folder named 'ASR' located on the internal memory of your TomTom.

Now it seems to work but it doesn't really recognise what I say. Numbers are okay, but names not really, is this normal or do I have to set something special so it recognises voices better?

IT REALLY DOES NOT RECOGNISE ANYTHING I SAY. HELP.

Do you have the map of the proper country selected when try to do the VR? If so, try a pin reset.

Speaking of voice recognition, I wished TomTom made voice dial programs, I cant see it that hard since they got it halfway done. Sigh....

If you have csspeechxx.dat files for each country within the specific map folder, it should,

i dont know if it has anything to do with that file that was copied to the ASM folder the link is dead i cant get the file

okay what worked out was to copy the gbr file manually select that one and paste it into the western europe folder however the actvate dialogue is working but now it dosent understand anything and i know its not my accent causing the problem also with regards to speed cameras YouTube - Installing Speed Cameras on a TomTom GPS are the pocket gps speed cameras better than the tom tom ones. I have updated the cameras from tom tom home but cannot see a category in the pois how do i know if the cameras are there and will be functioning. Pocket gps has a seperate category in their pois. Thanks for the help

If your icon is grayed out, try to go to 'navigate to'
make sure you select a state first.
This should help activate the icon.
You should be able to see the speech icon on the bottom when selecting the city afterwards.
