Hello TomTom'ers-

Purchased my Go 720 this week and have spent a ton of time getting things set up to my liking. One thing I am hoping to find out is whether there is any software out there than I can install to allow video playback on my device. I know it does not come pre-configured to do this, but don't see why this is not possible with the proper software.

Any of our experts out there know some freeware that can be used to open up some video playback?

Thanks,

There are third parties that offer the ability to playback video on 720 and 920. Of course in doing so, you void your warranty since you are altering the software architecture of the unit. There are much better avenues for playing video than a TT. It would be cool to have the feature, but we should remember that the TT design is for navigation.

In what way does installing 3rd party sw void your warranty? Does it state that in the EUA?

Installing 3rd party software like the one pointed out by Pedro does not alter the software architecture of the device, thus not voiding warranty.
