Very confused go 730

Hello all

Tryed my first tread this morning seems it did not work???

Try it again Very new to this It must be my age.
Purchase a Go 730 last fall from Staples to take on camping trips seems to work great but in the last week been reading about TT Home and then found this Site through RV.NET.
I just found out i have verison 8 after doing some reading it looks like it is out of dated can someone please explain how i go about updating it ,the more i read the more confused i get.

There are two things to consider: the application (latest version is 8.351) and the map (835 is the latest).

You'd use Home to do the updating (free) of the application and also to obtain (by purchasing) the latest map, if you are inclined to do so.

Tap the satellite bars to see the application version installed and then tap the version number to see the map and its version which is presently installed.

Thanks for the reply!!

When i get home tonight and download TT Home to my wifes computer and then set the device in the cradle it will ask me to connect to the internet like when you need to charge the unit. If i say yes this time what is going to happen ( do you need to have the internet up and running before you set the unit in the cradle).

You should have internet access. When it asks if you want to connect, say 'yes'. Now, Start Home (with the unit on and in the dock). This assumes Home is installed on the computer. If it isn't then click on this link to get (and install) the latest version.

Then use Home for the updates to your unit.
