Just upgraded my 920 to v720 from 710 and was wondering what everyone else's experiences with the new map/navigations are?

I'm my quick jaunt around town, Fredericton NB, Canada, I noticed a fair number of corrections, smoother mapping and the additions of speed limits.

Would love to hear from other's your experiences and opinions, with general locations if possible.

Thanks gang...

My 920 originally came with the 710 maps, in which two developments immediately next to mine were missing. Both appeared in the 715 maps.

I have also noted some guidance differences, but it's not clear whether they appeared as a result of the map changes or a software change (7.22 to 7.481).

After you take it for a trip north could you PM me and let me know if the new parts of the Trans Canada on on there now. I cam through from Montreal 2 weeks ago with my 920 and verson 715 map and there was several KL of hwy from Grand Falls north that wasn't on there. I understand it might be sometime before you are going that way but after you do please PM me to let me know what you think.

I just down loadedL both CW Europe 720 & NA 720 over the past 24 hrs.

I keep my Europe on my Sd card and NA map on internal memory that way you still have a fair bit of free memory on both.

One thing I notice different between those version is that 710 has no speed limit, 715 has freeway/highway speed limit but no city street limit. 720 has both highway/freeway and city street limit (but not all city street has speed limit posted).

If 720 shows all the corrections I see on TeleAtlas's map feedback map (lol. hope that made sense), then I'll be purchasing one soon. I'm still on 660.1215 and there are a lotta errors. (How can you misspell Mercedes Benz as one of the POI? or how one road is named Old Park Dr when it's Oak Part Dr.). Anyway, it's been reported and hopefully will be fixed soon. (too late for v720 I guess.)

I've noticed some clarification on certain exit ramps, they look better and are easier to figure out where to go. The speed limits on city streets is nice, but I've already noticed them to be pretty inaccurate.

Just thought id say that 720 and 805 are the exact same cept for lane guidance, static intersection images and IQ routes :)

I did notice on map 805 that 95% of my mapshare updates showed up. I made over 100.

Look forward to be able to change your own speed limit or add a speed limit to a road. Become a trusted member and more of your updates will show up.

sorry ill stop rambling :)

Correcting speed limits would be a great addition, especially on a city street. Those unfamiliar with speed limits in unposted areas will depend on TomTom to provide the right info. Adding this to mapshare would be great to increase safety on the roads.
