Using TomTom in Costa Rica

Hello,

I am going to Costa Rica in June, and i want to buy an used tomtom, where i can download a Costa Rica map.

Has anyone used TomTom in Costa Rica? Internet is full of information as "Your Garmin, Magellan or TomTom will be nothing more than an expensive brick to lug around."

As i read then in the november of 2016 was released a full Costa Rica map, so waiting for youre experiences.

If you are already familiar with the territory, go to this TomTom site https://mydrive.tomtom.com/en_us/ and poke around a bit in Costa Rica (enter "Costa Rica" in the search tab in the upper left). You'll see a fairly current version of the map for that country there.
