using TomTom for things other than navigation

Hi all,

Let's say I want my GO 720 to just serve as a speakerphone device for my mobile phone, or as a music player. Let's say I am somewhere where there is no GPS signal, or I know where I am going and don't need its help getting there. How do I do that?

If I understand your needs correctly, then sure you can. There is no reason you MUST use the unit to navigate to a specific location.

Just turn it on as you drive, it will follow the roads you are on. At the same time, as long as you have the mp3 files in the mp3 folder, you can use it as a mp3 player only.
