There is a free Tomtom POIreader and converter which I've found really useful available here: http://www.knackes.com/blog/index.php?2007/08/19/143-tomtom-poi-reader-019&cos=1

When in need for an editor, I've found MS Notepad to be really slow in search and replace on files that are not very small and found the following free replacement Notepad2 available here: http://www.flos-freeware.ch/
It is smarter and 1000 times faster than MS Notepad!
