I have 2 identical XXL 540. One of them has map USA_Canada_and_Mexico and another USA_Canada_and_Mexico_P.
What "P" means and what is te difference between these two maps.

The P designation is used for maps where addresses are alphanumeric in nature, such as Hawaii.

Are they interchangable?
That is strange as they both were bought in same store in Canada. Any ideas why?

Maps are never interchangeable between units since they are keyed to unit serial number.
Per dhn's request, it would be interesting to know what map version numbers you find on each of the two units.

How it happened two identical units equipped with different maps?

They might be from two different manufacturing lots, and one with a map one version ahead of the other or similar circumstance. Again, if we could know the version numbers.......
